Gianna Petracic: Appearing on Good Morning America
Last week I was told that I would be performing alongside with a selected cast of Heartbeat of Home on the Good Morning America show in NYC for St. Patrick’s Day.
When I heard this it truly was the best news I had received this year so far. We left for New York boarding a plane after our last show in Chicago. To top things off we were even staying right in the middle of Time Square.
Naturally, I went for a wander around Times Square at 1am when we arrived as I knew I was only going to be there for a day. It didn’t bother me that I had to wake up at 4am. By 5.30am we were inside the GMA studios, preparing for our performance and sooner than later we were cheering and smiling as a group, congratulating each other for our performance.
The day consisted of dining at a traditional American Diner for breakfast, which was delicious with a capital D. Then a stroll through the streets of NYC to a carriage tour around Central Park.
It was topped off with a first class view of the city on top of the Rockerfeller Skyline to a dinner and cocktail consumption at TGIS!
New York really is what everyone says what it is. The city where dreams are made of. A day was not long enough… I will surely be back to visit in the future.
