The talent search has been a fantastic way to showcase my talents and see the talents of other dancers from all around the world. I started Irish dancing at the age of 7 because of Riverdance and to now be auditioning for “Heartbeat of Home” is truly a humbling experience. I have been now dancing for 14 years and have since trained in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Musical Theatre. I have been a world qualifier for the past 14 years.
I have had many opportunities to perform on stage and TV, most recently on the Australian Kids TV drama “Dance Academy”. I became part of the cast for the premiere of the irish dance show ‘Eireann – A Taste of Ireland’ and toured Australia throughout June/July of 2012. More recently I have relocated to the USA while I perform with ‘Celtic Fyre’ at Busch Gardens. I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to be apart of the ‘Heartbeat of Home’ talent search.
My family has been a great support for me back home is Australia in terms of getting people to vote for my video. My mother has been putting flyers in letter boxes and on top of car windows and many of my friends have shared my link through Facebook and twitter. I met some Irish Dancers the other day who recognised me from my video and said that they told all there friends to vote, which was a really amazing moment for me.
