Paul Kinsella

I think for me, the talent search is just such a fantastic opportunity for me to challenge myself. Irish has never been something I studied in my time in dance college but I have always loved the art of Irish. I can really appreciate the difficultly of the discipline it requires of a dancer through my own experiences within other styles looking at both the technique and aesthetic of it. I have done a few jobs where Irish sections have been incorporated into shows and I think I could safely say I can blag it successfully, but is this enough? No for me its not as I am a perfectionist. Its quite funny being a dancer from Ireland and not being able to Irish Dance right?  The creative team has had such vast various lines of work and credits and to even be considered as an entry submission I feel quite honoured. I may not have the votes of many at the top end of the spectrum but they support from people I have received over the course of the talent search has been overwhelming. People have shared, liked and talked about me and it has made me realise the votes I have received have all come from the right place in that people are doing it as an act of good. Winning is not the end result for me as who knows where our paths lead us and we just keep on dancing till we get where we want to.
